I love the HOF sale, it is the only genuine one I seem to find. Siemens £600 washer dryer down to £100, my neighbour got a top of the range Hotpoint washer from £499 to £100. There were plenty of other things too. Got some Christy towels (bath sheet size) from £28 down to £2.70. It's very good if you have the HOF account card as you get 10% off sale price. They did also have a Loewe TV which said £2999 down to £500. Looked like a bargain, but even I know when to stop!

This year's sale at HoF will be a bumper one if your store has a lot of old stock. Baugur (who have just taken them over) are having a big stock clearout.

  • I might have to pop back there, just to satisfy my curiosity

I did pick up a Kenwood toaster which should have been £17.50 for £4, I thought it was too good to miss and will go in the loft for when the other one dies!

No Problem. That wasn't me. I was on my own, not too difficult to spot though - I was the guy trying to balance three boxes on top of each other while making my way to the till :D

does anyone know when the next stage of the sale is? i.e.the date when they put the labels on for "take another x% of the lowest price" usually happens on a Thursday a couple of weeks in to the sale???
