I've often noticed how London-orientated threads sometimes pop up on here as well as the UK travel forum and I wondered whether it was time for London to have its own sticky along the lines of the New York or Las Vegas ones.

It would be a natural home for the Last Minute secret hotels thread as well as a definitive guide on transport, hotels and restaurants.

Our friends on Flyertalk already have a decent one going we could borrow.

I'd have a go myself but not being that computer literate I haven't got much of a clue how to do it but I'll certainly chip in with a legendary Nobjocki Swallow London 10 pub crawl.

I thought this forum might have been the place considering the last minute secret hotels in London on here has had nearly 1800 posts.

But I don't mind where it goes - I'm busing working on my Central London Ten Pub Crawl and think it might be possible to get trashed in 10 really nice pubs all within 500 yards from Nelson's Column.

I don't really get why that London secret hotels thread is in here to be honest - what's it got to do with overeseas travel!?!

Anyway, I do think it would be a good idea to have a London sticky thread, but agree the best place for it would be here:

There is also more chance of actually getting something set up on the UK Travel forum as they only have 3 sticky threads compared to 7 here in Overseas. I have been PMing on of the board guides about getting something else stickied on here, and really their limit is supposed to be 6 per board so they won't add any more unless the whole way in which stickies is set up here is changed (we're currently working on that...).

I would suggest you sent a message to one of the UK Holidays forum board guides (they're listed at the bottom of the first page - savvy and lorweld) about the possibility of getting something set up and see what they say. It is possible for the BGs to merge related threads together so maybe make a list of all the recent ones relating to London which you think could go together to make a bigger London thread and start from there?

I'm pretty confdent it could be arranged, totally makes sense to move it to the UK board.........and maybe I could ask the Forum Team to move the Secret Hotels thread as it's possibly causing confusion.
