Price of dell PCs

Had my dell 8300 for 3years now and its still going strong never once had a problem with it. Think about taking the 3 years business warrenty out on them. The sub in my speckers went about a year ago. I called them and they set me a new set out within a week. The warrenty covers everything i believe even the printer and i believe its the on site one as well. Im very happy with mine and in the next year or two will be looking to upgrade to a new one from themFiliss0

My question to all you Dell price watchers - is it likely to be cheaper or more expensive or about the same price after Christmas?
Read their advertizing thoroughly
often you only get 90 days warranty with an option to purches 1year or so
Look through magazines like computeractive.
I see some great deals with companies like evesham giving 3 years warranty as standardIWasLookingBackToSeeIfSheWasLookinBackToSeeIfIWasLookinBackAtHer.....0 -
I been told that most of the computers that come from Dell outlet are over orders. When mine came it looked brand new,i am sure it was not a return, anyway if it was , it would have been checked out so thoroughly, they always answer my emails within 24 hours. And when i have called i always get Indian guys who have always been really nice to me. I spend 6 months in India travelling around so i can understand them.0

If you can wait, component prices always take a tumble towards the end of January...but Dell are so strong that they seem to get the new pricing earlier then most!
I'd say if you need it for the Christmas break, then buy it now and don't check the prices afterwards!
Otherwise, wait till the mid- to end off Jan. and get the best that you can afford. 0 -
I had no success whatsoever on the telephone with Dell in trying to get any extras thrown in. (In fact, In really wish I'd done the ordering online, as it took sooooo long on the phone and with no price benefit.) The very nice man in India did speak very good English but was not prepared to budge an inch on price - he said any reduction would have to come out of his wages! However, delivery seems to be very quick - ordered Sunday afternoon and due to be delivered tomorrow, Thursday (except I'll be at work aaarrgh!)0

Blimey, I got free carry case, free security software and best of all a free memory upgrade!
That was in September!
Perhaps the demands of the Christmas rush mean they do not do this now!0
