Its not possible to change your HSBC login details or your security number online.

HSBC lock accounts if someone enters the wrong details incorrectly 3 times (i.e. a typo for instance), though I have also had my account locked occasionally when using Egg Money Manager as well as that sometimes takes too long or is recorded as multiple login attempts

All you need to do is call HSBC and reset your security number.

i went into the branch this morning, the guy there told me it had been locked but couldnt tell me why
i reset the info but back to what it was but thinking back maybe not the best idea, should be ok, acc looks fine, nothing out of the ordinary

but have just noticed i took out £100 in 3 days, not good

since then, it was locked another once or twice and had to go in store, changed to a completely different number, and now its done it again arghhh dont know why its happening but its doing my head in

Oh no! How rude! Tell them to sort it out, its not fair that you should have to keep on taking the time to change everything.

I got 25 quid out of HSBC the other day after they sent me a letter full of lies which I complained about. Went down to Nationwide this afternoon and opened up a new account with them! Bye bye HSBC! :rotfl:
