Credit card for Hols ?

Going to Spain next week, should we take euros or the credit card and pay it off when we get back and just take a small amount of euros.....we have a post office credit card....:beer:

    Only problem with a CC is you may spend too much. When you have Euros in your hand you know your budget.

    I prefer CC every time and with Post Office you'll get a good exchange rate (free of loading).
    Most places in Spain accept them, you may need a few Euro's for the odd bar and ice cream.

    The rate is set by Mastercard according to what they can get on the money market. Unless you are a currency dealer trading millions you won't get a better rate.

    The PO don't doctor that rate

    Well we got a Halifax Clarity credit card and set it up to be paid off in full each month. No charges for purchases abroad and if you draw cash just before the statement date almost no charge for cash withdrawals.
