Seems to coincide with poor sales practises as reported by the FSA during this time.
I will get to the bottom of this requested direct debit mandate from my bank re the payments.
I suspect therein will be the problem, you didn't notice, or at least didn't query why £7 was leaving evey month, not even one call?
I agree it probably is the same sharp practice but it didn't happen in the FSA timelines, and you didn't query it. It could just as easily be said you were told and by not cancelling you agreed to it, with this long passed there will be no recordings, it would be one persons word against the company.
Even if this was today you would get at most 3 months compensation for something like this, it's assume that people do at least check their statements and are responsible for reporting errors.
Not sure what the DD mandate will be useful for other than it was setup one a set date and who it was payable to.
