Credit card fraud, accepted norm....

Thats the thing, there was a 0 balance to start with, all the balance now is fraudulant!!
Then the answer is simple - you owe them NOTHING - pay them NOTHING !
With regard to timbo's comments about his experience - this is slightly different.
On a credit card you have NO problem - you just don't pay for what didn't buy - end of story. It isn't your money.
timbo's problem was with a debit card - so it was HIS money. Even though the rules for fraudulent use of credit and debit cards are the same, to some extent the banks have you by the *****.
In 99% of the cases they should refund you immediately, but there seems to be a growing trend with them starting a paper chase and throwing lots of pseudo legalise at you - to make you give up and go away !
Don't forget they have billions of pounds of lost profits to make up.................0 -

Thats the point though, can I argue this from a legal stand point when they insist on the balance staying in place, anything for me to quote to bolster the point?0
