Hi
Just need some factual advice.
Been BH customer for some years now, not ideal but I know what to buy and what things cost and have only made purchases in line with other retails. APR not to much of a concern as my Argos card is higher.
To bottom of it, I understand fully the OS Cover, Damage Liability etc and have appropriate insurances to cover all.
Whenever I have purchased I have made the specifically take off all extras as dont need them.
This is now where problem lies.
Recently bought an item from them last year in December as sons christmas present (money was tight and had to pay that bit extra on top for what he wanted from BH), item was always out of stock and short supply but i recieved call to say items in stock do I want, I happily agreed and accepted. Sorted out initially over phone and paid first week, told them at time exactly what I wanted same as previous CA's and no extras like cover, explained couldnt do this as store policy had to pay toltal cost which was £17.25 instead of original price of £9.74 but would sort it when came into store to sign CA.
Paid this for few weeks until I came back from work and was able to go to local store to sign paper work. In this time I had paid 4 weeks before even receiving items, I signed CA and told them to take off the covers etc but they said couldnt and I had to write letter saying under T&C's I wanted to give them my 28 days notice to remove covers. This I did in store, and took goods away.
Weeks went past and 1 month later when I went to pay was told amount hadnt been altered and had to pay the £17.25 so this went on, mentioned letter I handed over when signed and said they didnt have copies of any letter, have sent in numerous letters now stating that under no circumstances should these covers be included, I have valid Building and Contents cover which states HP is covered, same policy I have had for years and same policy BH have had pleasure of photocopying each time I order something.
Up until this I have never once had a problem with them, ut now I am getting so peeved that I am paying almost 100% on top for covers that are no way required. The OS cover is utter c*** the manufacturers warranty lasts for longer than the HP agreement.
So far each week I have to pay over the odds, I eventually got through to them and they said I had to come in and sign new copies of credit agreement. This becomes a problem for me as I am not at home or anywhere near to even get to a store, by time I get back from working away it is late Sat evening and I am gone again early Monday. I was home 2 weekends ago and spoke to them on Friday and said I could come in to store to resign and have cover removed on the saturday but they said this wasnt any good to them as they are busy and will only do it Monday to Friday when convenient for them.
They have also stated that whilst in arrears they cannot remove cover, I have spent 5 months almost trying to get this removed. In amout sof payments I have made trying to resolve this I have almost paid over bar £70 outstanding of what it would of cost had they removed Covers like I specifically asked. I have 4 active agreements and 3 cleared agreements with BH and not on bar this one has ever had these covers on. Read on TC's that cover not even valid when aco!!!! in arrears.
After sending in numerous letters, speaking to staff who used to be polite when I paid but not talk to me like sh*** as I refuse to make my last payment and subsequent ones until rectified.
Any ideas what steps I can take, Tried on only time at home when store opens to get supposed credit agreement resigned but they wouldnt do it and told me to come back monday to friday and give them 24 hours notice first. One thing is I refuse to sign new agreement, should of extras that I have had to pay been refunded back to me and taken of toal cost of credit on CA

Are they allowed to dictate when I come in to resign new HP agreements? Cant afford to take day off work isnt physically impossible for me to do so for foreseeable future
Also as I told them at the time but they refused to resign and reprint all agreements when I was instore should I be in my rights to have it all refunded
do they have to make me sign a new agreement before they can take off covers?
also as now in arrears they are saying they cant do anything at all until account is upto date, even though payments are made in advance as per T&C's0
