I guess your right mate.
It's been such a good drill that i'm going to miss using it.
As far as it goes for using it as a screwdriver its been excellent.
There's loads of great drills around, maybe view it as an opportunity to pick up a new toy for yourself? Get yourself down to your local tool shop and find a decent looking one and then get it cheaper online. Go on treat yourself :rotfl:0 -
Batteries are consumables, even rechargeable ones in a cordless drill, just like they are in laptops.
You won't get anywhere IMO.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
I've hardly ever driven an F1 car (in fact never) but I suspect after one use I would think it was pretty impressive. My point being that frequency of use has no direct correlation to perceived quality.
But if you had said i hardly ever drove the F1 car then said your going to miss driving it and how driving it around town was excellent it would be the same.
The battery is a consumable (like car tires, even F1 ones) and should be replaced when worn. rechargarbles dont last for ever.
Just because something isnt used it does not mean it should last longer.0 -
I'd say that it doesn't matter whether you get any cash back from them but you should report it as it sounds dangerous.
Batteries are treated as consumables but they still shouldn't explode however old or used they are.0 -

It's because the times i have used it it has been impressive.
It has performed better than expected as a screwdriver and it has made the odd few jobs i've used it for so much easier. Hence the reason i'll miss it.
Anyway, i shall take T_T's advice and look for an alternative.0
