Ryanair Empty Seats

Fly quite a bit with Ryanair & have noticed that they block off with the fold down trays a number of seats at the front ( & presumably the same at the back ).
On the last flight to Murcia 18 seats were kept empty & maybe the same at the back.
Antbody know the reason why ???
One of the cabin staff said it was to balance the plane !!
But she was Irish......

Having the load unbalanced requires the aircraft to effectively climb (or dive) all the time to trim it out. So having a proper balance in the first place saves fuel.0 -
