    1. Its good to come on here to kill time or to have a bit of a relaxed look at things and other people's perspectives. I also like providing advice based on my experience on the credit card board.

The rest I really cant be bothered delving into.

Got to say, those questions are a lot more complex than my GCSEs were.
  • Thanks - It's certainly good entertainment. But I've a feeling there may be more to it as well - at times. My questions may be too complicated - I'm just interested

Sorry aurora - didn't mean to be heavy. There have been some inspiring exchanges - puposeful fun.
  • What area of MSE are you talking about

Just joking ... it is interesting, I agree. I'm interested in the relationships people form and how you can get to know people that you've never met.

    I have a cold today though and I'm a bit stupid :o

I comes for the laffs, mainly :D

I'm talking about the whole of it and maybe as Money Saving Arms as an extension of that. I arrived with a major problem - ongoing - with the freeholder of my flat. As a freelancer I'd had a big project postponed and an unexpected stay in hospital..........all at once. The advice I got on the lease put me in much more confident position. I changed from trying to fend off someone elses unreasonable demands, to making perfectly legitimate ones myself. The information made me more confident. And i was keen to pass on any areas of expertise I have.
  • enlightenment, financial stuff wasn't quite as scary as it seemed and I could take control of more than I thought.

information,I've learned loads of things from here ,mostly useful, some trivial

    and fun:eek: ;)

1] What do you want from MSE? Initially, I wanted to buy fewer things for financial and environmental reasons. Then I found DT and come on often just to chat.

2] What happens in your interactions from your perspective? 99% of the time people are friendly and helpful. And my initial goal has been met beyond anything I'd hoped.

3] What works well for you? What works less well? Doing the money saving stuff in stages so as not to get overwhelmed.
    Interpretation:

4] What are the reasons you think things happen this way? I have the attention span of a small, particularly thick insect. So babysteps work for me.

Why do you think you get these results? I get the results because I plan what I'm going to do and am flexible enough to change it without giving up.

What can you learn from this? Nothing worth anything comes easy.

5] What have you discovered – or beliefs have you reinforced - about yourself? I am not JUST a housewife.

    Application:

6] Have any of these interactions made an impact on or had an influence in your life? Daily. Why else would I do it?

How? I have been able to avoid returning to work. DH has been able to cut his hours down at work and we are saving much, much more for the future.

7] What will you do / have you done as a result of this learning? See above.
What do you still want to be able to do? Keep living a simpler, less chaotic life. Never be trapped by possessions again.

8] What do you want to do next? More of the same.

9] What is your first step toward your goal? I'm a simple kind of girl. I'm living my dream. I don't want anything else.

I also have some supplementary/extension questions for anyone who is interested
