British Gas Websaver 11 (now 12) question.

    Update:

    Had a reply back from BG earlier this week ( Samantha Lewis, Customer Solution Team) in connection with this and tbh, was not happy with the response.

    Basically told that WS 11 is no more, and that my parents will have to go on WS12. A product can be pulled at anytime without notice ect ect..

    I emailed them straight back, asking for some clarification on a few points and I am still awaiting a response 4 days later!

    Given the fact that the swap over of accounts takes place this Sunday (12th), would the BGCR on here be able to action a reply for me?

    Reading the email i had back from BG, i do not believe this is the case. It's what product is available at the date of change over, not when you initially apply. Perhaps BGCE could confirm this?
  • hi, just to let you know i am in exactly the same position. british gas have just taken me over on their std tariff as i was told to ring on the day to change to websaver11.

    just phoned them and they honoured websaver 11 even though its no longer available and my gas doesnt go live with them until the 24th but that will be changed too to websaver11.

    thought this might help you to know.
  • Cheers for the info. I called them on saturday and the lady on the phone was able to make sure we get WS11.
    Apparently it's up to the discretion of the phone operator whether or not they put you on the correct tarrif.It is an online tarrif, but it can be agreed over the phone if need be.

    So the email i received saying we could not have what we signed up for was complete nonsense and more false information.
