You might find that Acrobat & Nitro fight with each other ( [ crippleware ] yes its an industry standard word for killing a competitors program ).

I've just tried and printed the ESA50 with Acrobat and it works fine

I do use the Nitro (full version) to do things the free Adobe Acrobat doesn't. But perhaps I should remove it from my PC for a while to let me get on with my DLA form.

is your browser IE9 by any chance? Somebody I know has stated that Adobe and IE9 are having compatibility problems - "There have been a few issues with the latest Adobe reader mentioned on here. Well, I've done a bit of research this evening due to a problem I was having with it and have found out that it doesn't like IE9 and whether it's set to show pdf in browser or not (in the preferences, internet menu) it won't show them if it doesn't want to. It is an IE9 issue as it opened the same files in Firefox 4 and some files still weren't opened with the alternative pdf reader I found (foxit) in IE9. Adobe reader can conflict with Adobe acrobat and only one of the two should be installed so it's reader or acrobat. "

On my Laptop (where I spend half of my life:o) it is IE8 as I have XP. On my desktop it is IE9 on Vista but rarely use that PC these days.

I also use Firefox and whilst I don't see that would make any difference I will try downloading on that. I have just realised that I have Adobe Reader not Acobat!!! I am gettingconfused to my working days when we used the full Adobe software.

Last evening on Adobe Reader I clicked help> check for updates and none found. I have just been on Firefox to download another copy of the DLA form and when opening was told my Adobe Reader is now replaced by version X!!!

I have tested by filling in several parts and saving and reopening and so far looks like problem may be solved. PLEASE PLEASE let that be so as my handwriting is not good:D

Even the most beautiful handwriting from Calligraphy to Modern regardless of how dexterous a penman / penwoman you are will never be able to fit all that needs to be hand written into that document.

That's the one benefit of ' editable pdf's ', the other equally important one is .. .. mistakes and grammar corrections are infinite, a very forgiving document format.

Copy & pate is irrelevant. If it's in the same font and size and [ flows ] makes sense to the reader, that's all it needs to be.

    Thanks again for your support.

All is going well so but from start to finish it will have taken about two weeks. Unless I find any more hitches.
