Hi luminated,
Sorry the form is giving you a bit of grief. I have tried saving it myself (for you) as a Word document, but that wouldn't work. Have you tried downloading it from the site and then when you've got it open, using the "Save as" function and saving it to your PC with a different name? Whenever I've used forms myself from this site, I've always printed them off, filled them in by hand and scanned, faxed or posted them to the relevant destination.
Sorry if you've already tried this. Let me know if I might be able to suggest anything further.
Good luck (with the form and your application!). xx0 -
You could try https://www.pdfescape.com It's not perfect and can be fiddly but I've never had any problems saving before. As of 30/12/10: Mortgage [STRIKE]28,000[/STRIKE] 26,000 SLoan[STRIKE] 9,000[/STRIKE] 7000, CC [STRIKE]8000[/STRIKE] 5020, car [STRIKE]21,000[/STRIKE] 16,000. Thank you so much for your quick reply and trying to help me out.
I have made sure I have the latest versions of the software & on Adobe Acrobat ran the repair function. I have printed to pdf and then on my full version of Nitro I have tried editing the pdf then saving. All with no success.
Thanks for your good luck wishes and I know DLA has become more difficult to get but hey!!! I am choosing to ignore the pessimistic views and crashing on regardless.0 -

A further thought is I have just seen this on the directgov website so I will call and see what they have to say.

It's working OK for me in Adobe Reader which is my default for pdf files. I saved it using Adobe so is in Adobe pdf format. No problem with subsequent editing and saving again.
You should have a purple banner heading across the top which says "Please fill out the following form. You can save data typed into this form".0 -

Yes I have always found working with pdf's to be fine and I have the heading across the top - mystery. I will have to take a look in the morning as my brain is objecting to me even typing at this time.
But thank you for your help - I am grateful.0 -
You might find that Acrobat & Nitro fight with each other ( [ crippleware ] yes its an industry standard word for killing a competitors program ).
I've just tried and printed the ESA50 with Acrobat and it works fineDisclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. is your browser IE9 by any chance? Somebody I know has stated that Adobe and IE9 are having compatibility problems - "There have been a few issues with the latest Adobe reader mentioned on here. Well, I've done a bit of research this evening due to a problem I was having with it and have found out that it doesn't like IE9 and whether it's set to show pdf in browser or not (in the preferences, internet menu) it won't show them if it doesn't want to. It is an IE9 issue as it opened the same files in Firefox 4 and some files still weren't opened with the alternative pdf reader I found (foxit) in IE9. Adobe reader can conflict with Adobe acrobat and only one of the two should be installed so it's reader or acrobat. "0

If you can download and save a PDF form, what has the browser got to do with anything?
Had no problems with my IE9 and Adobe.0
