Early upgrade offer via Vodafone
Hiya, I had an 18 month or 2 year contract (I cant remember the length) but its with Vodafone and I have the option to do an early online only upgrade for £15-£20.
I am currently on 600 mins and unlimited texts for £25 monthly and looking for a phone with unlimited or close to unlimited Internet Access.
I can afford to loose some minutes , maybe just have 400/500 mins a month or something.
I would be grateful for any advice
Thanks

Whatever you do, do NOT accept any oral offer from this company; get it ALL in writing before you agree to ANYTHING.0

And even then it's not worth much. You do realise that an early upgrade means that the remaining months of the contract you're upgrading get added to the new one? Oh and Voda don't do unlimited internet - it's either 500MB or 1GB at most depending on the deal offeredNow free from the incompetence of vodafail0

Oh dear no good things to say about them then....0

I'm with Vodafone and don't really have a problem with them. Having said that I'd echo the advice to get whatever upgrade deal you're offered in writing... although you should be ok if you do it online.
My first upgrade was a verbal deal which they totally screwed up and had to be sorted out by the Web Relations Team.
If you're out of contract you'll get a better deal by speaking to the retentions dept, but even if you're not they might waive the upgrade fee to keep you on board (they did for me and my fee was going to be about £100).
You first really need to decide what phone you want and then have a look at what the other networks are offering.
Also, as Yolina pointed out, Vodafone don't do unlimited data... the maximum you'll get is 1GB.0 -
I've had stuff confirmed in writing by the web team only for them to tell me a few days later that they had "made a mistake" and couldn't actually do what they had confirmed had been done! I'd strongly suggest taking screenshots in the case of online upgrades...Now free from the incompetence of vodafail0

At least if you have it in writing you can PROVE what was offered. This company is has one of THE worst "customer services" of any I have come across - though others seem to want to dig down to their level. In addition, other companies sometimes offer deals when they aren't Vodafone at all.
Vodafone are appalling when something goes wrong; relying on oral promises is simply asking for it.0 -
I don't know if this is the same for private contracts, but with my business contract they are quite happy to chop and change my contract mid term if it means that it would suit my usage better.0

I forgot to mention: make sure it is deffinately Vodafone who you were talking to, as there are many mobile shops who pretend to be one of the mobile providers to try and poach you.0

Thanks for all your replys. I will be doing the upgrade online via Vodafone website0
