Under ebay rules payment has to be within 4 day, as I understand it.

In theory they get 8 days to pay. You cannot open a NPB until day 4 and you can close it 4 days later.

On two occasions eBay mention 3 days... a case can be opened on the 4th giving them a further 4 days.

It doesn't matter now anyway, thanks though.

When should I pay?
All sellers appreciate quick payment and most ship after receiving payment, so it's good to pay as soon as you win or buy an item. You can pay by clicking the Pay Now button in the email notification or in the listing. The seller will be paid and know to ship your item immediately. Otherwise, we recommend paying within 3 days of the sale. Some sellers include information on when they expect to be paid in their listings.

Pay for the item.
After you've won or bought the item, send your payment to the seller within 3 days. To pay with one of the electronic payment methods offered by the seller, click the Pay Now button in the listing or email notification. If you're picking up the item, you can pay by any method the seller accepts (including cash).
