On my laptop when I press Start - Internet - instead of IE popping up I get the Internet Options screen.

How do I change this please?

bit more info required, like which OS? Do you mean a shortcut has moved, or does no longer point to what it did before? Is the network icon showing in the Notification Area (bottom-right of screen) ? Can you update any programs manually, like your AV?? Why not just pop IE on your desktop ??

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Sorry to have only given half a story.

I am on XP with IE8.

When I press Start there is a vertical row of programmes with Interent and Email at the top.

On my other pc when I press internet it opens IE.

On this one it opens tye same box as when I go Control Panel - Internet Options. It's the box with General/Security/Privacy/Content/etc.

My wireless network shows in the bottom right, not sure about updating progs.

Howe do I launch a shortcut from IE please?

At the mo. I have to click on choose browser - IE - install ... which launches IE as it is already installed.

Fantastic! That worked a treat ... now if I could only get Flash 10 to install!

I tried that and it downloads fine but then when I try to run it - it says Adobe Flash Player has encountered a problem and need to close.

I think I have some major issues as when i tried to download Firefox it gets to the verrifying bit and thenbrings up a Internet Explorer Security Warning saying it was blocked because it does not have a valid digital signature?

Not saure if these are related but they are very frustrating.

    Lousy laptop!!!

Try This which should uninstall Flash, then restart the computer and go to any site that requires flash (youtube) and you should be redirected to install it again and that SHOULD sort it.

Aaaaagh! That would probably of worked but I think there is a major Security setting problem - when I try to download rthe uninstaller I get a Security Warning and it talks about the digital signature again!

I really appreciate all your help guys

Check the Date & Time on your PC. If this is wrong then you can get a similar error message.
