iPhone 5...anyone going to buy?

Options
Anybody planning on buying the new iPhone 5 when it comes out?
The last time I researched, I heard a rumour that it was going to be released around September 2011
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I also heard a rumour that Apple was going to lower the price of the iPhone 5.
Apparently it could be only $199 at launch! ;)
However, I'm skeptical about that as I know Apple too well. :p

It will have a dual core Apple A5 processor.
As for any of the other new features, I'm not sure yet.
I think it'll be very similar to the iPad 2 in terms of specs.
Anybody planning on buying? ;)

It will be a total flop for sure just like its predecessors.

Anyway isn't the launch date post the (revised) Day of Rapture.

Will it be an iPhone 5 or just an upgrade to an iPhone 4S.

I read the iPhone might be smaller with things like 8m Camera, Dual Core Processor (as in iPad2), NFC, Nano SIM Card etc.

But I can't see the likes of NFC and Nano SIM Card being ready for release in the next few months, so my guess it will be more likely an iPhone 4S with Dual Core Processor and better Camera.

Nope, I don't like iStuff... Apple would need to give me a lot of money for me to even consider using their phones or tablets. I do have an iPod classic, that's because it was given to me :p but jeeeeeeeez, having to use iTunes for that is bad enough to put me off owning any other Apple toy. Oh and as I really like to erm, let's say mess about with my devices, and flash custom ROMs and generally make them do stuff they didn't know they could, I guess I'd be terribly unhappy stuck in the walled garden

There are alternatives to managing an iPod other than using iTunes, I never did when I had one.

Yeah, I know, I use Media Monkey. But I guess there's no alternative to iTunes if you've got an iPhone or iPad...

I'll be sticking with android until apple improves their user interface and replaces their proprietary standards with open ones.
