Bought tickets but don't want to spoil her!!

No need to worry at all. Tell her - clearly - that this is a reward because she's worked hard. She'll undoubtedly tell her friend the same thing.
Being 'spoilt' isn't about given lots of things. Being 'spoilt' is about someone's reaction to be given something. Kids with nothing can be spoilt; kids with everything can be utterly unspoilt. And if you kept lavishing gifts on her instead of love, or for no reason then okay, it might look spoilt to someone else. But this is a reward and she deserves it. I'm sure she'll be completely thrilled!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
I think that is lovely for what you have done for your daughter. I wouldnt worry about what anyone else thinks at all. If you have good kids then why not let them know how proud you are of them.
I am always treating my two to little bits if they have done well (mind you my son is nearly 19 and its getting difficult to find bits and pieces for under £2 for him :rotfl:)0 -
Thanks everyone. Feel a lot better now. Will just give them to her one night over dinner.

:T I think it is lovely, I get DD little bits and bobs once in a while, otherwise it could so easily be grrrrrrr whinging over houseowrk, homework, day to day mundane bits, lovely to recognise when they're being angels

Tell us her reaction! What a lovely parent you are! Youre not spoiling her at all, youre showing her that hard work gets great rewards.0

How lovely to reward your child & praise her like that - not at all spoilt.
Unfortunately I see 'spolit' on a regular basis - regardless of their behaviour two children I know get anything they ask for - all the latest 'experiences', dvds & games anytime they want and they are obnoxious and utterly rude. Even if they misbehave they are not reprimanded or taught manners and then grandad gets the blame when he tries to control them in his own home!
I hope she really enjoys the concert, but honestly - stop worrying
