    Afternoon everyone

VERY late get-up today - well after sorting BIG cat out at usual 7 a.m. He was fed and let out . . . . and then in again 5 mins later . . . . then out again 10 mins later where he stayed for a couple of hours until penninewoman let him in.

Meanwhile I'd had my painkillers which knocked me out for a few hours (lovely things . . .:D )

Then up at 12 and sort house out and make breakfast toast.

Need to write remainder of Christmas cards this p.m. Have done all the ones for my friends from the school I taught at in the '80s. Now need to move on a decade or two and do the rest. :)

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon,

    Today, I MUST DO

    - Finish cleaning living room
    - Ironing

    Today I could do

    - Broccolli and Stilton Soup
    - Go and get tags and ribbon for pressies
    - Wrap more pressies

My washing machine is currently in the process of breaking. The connection is loose on the power switch, so it won't stay on. Will ring up about that tomorrow - hopefully I'll get a new one as I accidentally broke the programme knob within half an hour of moving in, so at the moment, I have to guess what programme the machine is running on

My computer is also breaking - took 10 minutes of me fiddling around with the switches this morning before it turned on. ARGH! Thats very worrying because I NEED my computer, and when I bought mine so many years ago, the barebone system was quite cheap (~£200), but now they're all the rage, its more like £600 which I could in no way afford right now.

    Have a good day!

Me too. I hope you're feeling better today Moggins. Does DH have any idea how much his comments hurt? I cant get over the insensitivity of the man  You know we are all here for you hun whenever you need a virtual hug and some moral support. You're a hugely corageous woman, you fought that cancer for your family and for yourself. After going through so much you need to do what makes YOU happy not try to please other people. I sincerely hope DH has apologised. Lots of love to you from the Kiwi house.

    morning!!

didn't get much done yesterday: just that quilt... i got it tacked together, so its all ready to quilt today, which is going to be a right pain.. i was hoping to have it all done by tonight (as per the sewing challenge) but i don't think it will be. oh well.

crawled into bed at midnight last night (which is early for me, usually around 3am) cos i was feeling so awful.. had headache, toothache.. it took 2 paraetaemol and 2 ibuprofen to get rid of it. got to the point where even breathing seemed to hurt and i thought i might've been coming down with cold. Thankfully i feel better this morning.

so today: do breakfast when OH gets back from walking the dog, then set up the machine and quilt for all i am worth!!! Wish me luck, cos this is NOT easy!

hope everyone has a good day...

    Hi everyone! :j:

Got up at 10..:o Started on my clearout and did very well. Two large black bags filled with old but good clothes, books, CDs, and odds and sods for the charity shop. Then I found masses of plastic carrier bags I had stored away and forgotten about - some are going to the charity shop as they always need them, the others will be put to good use as bin liners etc.

Also old paperwork and bits and pieces.

All this has cleared space for me to tidy the flat up generally, and now I feel like I have achieved something because I'm a hoarder by nature, so it's good now and then to go against the worst excesses of my instincts :D

Later I shall wrap the last presents - oh yeah, hidden at the back of a cupboard I found a whole roll of Xmas paper I don't remember having bought! So that'll be used tonight.

Have a great day everyone! :j

Evening all, well it feels like it. Really dark already and getting windy, lights here keep flickering so going to put some candles on the window ledge in the kitchen (out of reach) just incase. Kids are drivin me bananas now, in fact you would think they are monkeys as they've eaten loads of bananas today. They are currently being OS and making robots from the boxes I was about to squash for the recycling this week, oh well may aswell get some fun from them first. I have now talked them into squashing them for me when they have finished. Saves me a job.

Made myself a huge list to do this evening, not optimistic about completing it but the challenge will do me good. Going to reward myself with a soak in the bath with some epsom salts when it's done, instead of the usual quick shower.
One day I might be more organised...........
