Foreign Currency

Hi all,

I'm looking to get some Euro's soon. Is it adviseable to go for the best exchange rate, or the best buy back rate? Guess it depends on whether I plan on bringing anything back or not...last time I used a service that matched the rate I bought at, but then that rate was not quite as good as others, and there was a small charge for the service. The little calculation I got suggested that I was better off, but doubtful whether that took into account the slightly better rates elsewhere.

Also, if I buy it all as cash on the credit card, will this be charged as a cash advance, which means I'll stary paying interest on it straight away? Or am I better off taking some of it as travellers cheques? I know debit card is probably the better option, but I would prefer to delay it a month or so if possible.

Thanks,

Steve
