    If it is, that isn't all.

    Some international calls are 20 to 50 times over a competitive price - they seem to have a £1.19 a minute rate for some mobiles that are in the MSE Callchecker for 4 or 5p, and 89p for Bangladesh mobile which can be reached for 1 penny a minute.

    I notice they even charge a £1 a month for itemised billing.

    I think you will find the call connection fee is 6p, has been for quite some time. They are just ripping people off big time!

    The Call Connection fee is in fact 6p (the same as it is now) not 3p , these cable people are having a larf,with their all round uncompetitive rates.

    These particular ngn rates are not being increased thats what NTL/TELEWEST customers are paying already.Except the connection charge is 6p not 3p and remains at 6p next year.See my post and the discussion here

    All they seem to be doing in general is tidying up the two companies price plans see;

    http://www.whycable.co.uk/pricechanges/pdf/ntl_Value_Pack.pdf

    but they are simplifying their mobile rates and do hint at cheaper prices from May 2007 here:

    Existing customers of these cable outfits who want to stay with them can make some serious savings now see this thread here;

    I am one of these people. _pale_ I am desperate to get out so am looking for new deals. Main thing that drew me to Telewest is because they do a package for Internet,cable and phone (£30) - I dont know if other providers do, any ideas?

    We are moving house soon, and I dont want Telewest, they have been a nightmare from day one! We keep on losing service for one service if not all three on a regular basis!!!

    Any ideas where I can get a good deal for all three services???

    On a related note, I changed from Telewest's Talk Weekends to Talk Anywhere 200.

    Just a warning to anyone out there that the remaining minutes log on your phone bills have no basis in reality. You MUST call Telewest at 150 every few days to hear your balance.

    I am very displeased that I cannot trust my bill.
  • There are plenty of posts on this forum to show how to reduce your costs with telewest/ntl by saying you are leaving them.

    I was moving to the bband/ine rental and free week-end calls package from the Utility Warehouse as I am a distributor for them, and rang BT as the 1st step to having my number changed back to them from cable.

    2 days later telewest retentions dept rang me and offered to match the UWDC offer and so I now have line rental/ unlimited 01/02 calls/ and 2mb broadband for £20 a month.

    Had my 1st bill yesterday and its worked out as they quoted.
    I have to stay with them for 12 months and the deal only lasts till then and I have to re negotiate, but they seem pretty desperate to hang on to customers, so i would give it a try.
