Search glitch

Can anyone explain this quirk?
If I search from "Yesterday plus later" for a new thread, it only appears if the thread was started yesterday - not if the 1st post was today.
For example, I check the daily newspaper summary thread for offers, game numbers etc. If I search on "newspaper" in titles only - the latest thread only displays if started before midnight. If started today, I have to search on last week and later - then it appears.
Weird - or not?

It is playing up - if I search for "bob hope" I get all threads with bob and hope somewhere in them, and not solely those with the exact phrase.Gone ... or have I?0
