x52
£6.24p a year

Worst supermarket carrier bags I know of must be those at Somerfields. Far too small and much too thin.
Best ones are probably Iceland or Morrisons due to size and strength.0 -
apart from the fact that at 3p they are a rip off
has anyone noticed they are getting smaller and smaller
I know I should take my own, I always forget but im starting to remember as I hate being made a mug of
also the trolleys there are now like chariots takes me all my time to push and empty one let alone a full one
i've been known to load up my handbag and my arms and walk thru the shopping centre and precinct to sainsburys with a load of lidl stuff to avoid paying for their bags!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
I know, its only 3p but its the principle
if it was a farm foods bag Id willingly pay the money cos at least you can get some stuff in them.0 -
Best Bargain from Lidi - the lime scale remover - 99p and the same stuff as Vikal (over £2.50 from Tesco)
Also my Italian friend tells me that their Olive Oil is superb! A fraction of the price of others and much better quality.
I always forget a bag - I just find the nearest to empty box on the shelves, empty it and use that!! I am helping to stack their shelves at the same time. Never knew you couldn;t pack your bags at the till! ;DCharles J0 -
I have a collapsible crate like Smiley_Mum mentioned and that works pretty well as you can put it in your trolley when you've emptied it onto the belt then put stuff straight in as it's scanned. Never get told off for packing at the till coz a guy who works there had a crush on me at school and still does ;D
I don't always remember my crate, or the big 'trolley bag' that I bought or the freezer bags that I bought (blonde ::)) so try to get an empty cardboard box as I'm going around but they're really mean with them - try whipping them out of sight before you can grab them >:(
The whole carrier bag thing was discussed months ago and the thing I complained about then was the fact that you're paying to advertise for them. Just how much bigger can that logo get! If they were just plain bags it would cost them less to produce them as well.
And as to the original posting - yes I do think they're shrinking >:(I'm a little angelBUT A WHOLE LOTTA DEVIL

I've been into the branch in Blantyre a few times. The staff have been very helpfull! Ok so when you get to the till your shopping gets the drop test...
The best thing I've found to do is not to take a trolley, or my wife takes the trolley and I go on alone asking a member of staff for a box. They are really helpfull, especially if you find the manager!
You can also ask the person on the till to put the stuff in the box, but I would only recommend only with tins and unbreakable things!
BTW The fresh parmesan is a brilliant deal, it's about five times cheaper than in Asda, and it's in a block - much nicer than the pre-ground 'Italian Hard Cheese' which isn't actually parmesan...Waddle you do eh?0
