I placed an order for Martin's new book and 2 cds using the free delivery (I'm an MSE-er you know). Hope I get it soon or I'll be broke because I need Martin's book so that I can be very good next year!"Life's too short to stuff a mushroom" - Shirley Conran...she wasn't an Old Styler then, was she? :rotfl:0

I have had no problems with Amazon ( perhaps I've just been lucky).. Ordered around 15 items and some came next day, longest I had to wait was 5 days and all on super saver delivery too. Perhaps it depends on what you order, as none of mine was the incredibly "must have " popular type of stuff0

As long as items are in stock then Amazon are fine and very quick, never order when it usually says despatched in 1 to 2 weeks or similar0

Tesco's have opened a distribution site in Jersey selling the same sort of things as Play.com (and the same sort of prices), and they were fine the couple of times I've used them. Took about 2 days to deliver stuff in stock.

Although I wonder if there's anything Tesco's don't hone in on, now......)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
I've been using Amazon for my Christmas presents for years, and I agree with those who have said it has gone downhill - I've had more problems, delays, etc. this year than I have in previous years put together. I ordered a widely available DVD at the beginning of November, only to keep receiving emails telling me the delivery date had been put back and then further back.Virgin card: £1,850.74 | Natwest card: £99.650

Fingers crossed my orders arrive, I was offered a free trial of Prime which I signed up for as I got the benefit of next day delivery or so I thought!!! I am still waiting on orders I placed on the 11th on next day delivery but funnily enough my super saver deliveries have turned up fine???
Amazon are usually fine, I am wondering where in the country the goods are dispatched from? didn't most of the snow dissappear south of Scotland at the end of last week?
It seems strange that even though my delivery is suposed to be next day that you only get a estimated delivery date.....
Fingers crossed for all you peoples waiting.0 -
I find Amazon very unreliable in December.
Through out the year I have no problems with orders but over the past years they have let me down at least three times by not sending the goods, so now I never order from them in the three weeks before Christmas.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

Maybe he is still waiting for the delivery from 2006The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
