Well done Halifax/Barclays!

Handed in my ISA transfer form to a Halifax branch last Monday. My Barclays ISA was automatically closed on the Thursday and the money appeared in my new Halifax account today.

Just 7 days to complete the transfer! :T

And double interest for 3 days, since Halifax were paying you interest from last Monday when you handed in your transfer request (if you didn't already know?). :)

I had a similar experience Principality -> Halifax. The funds arrived the day after the fixed term expired! Sadly enough they lost the other transfer form I'd handed in at the same time, and then proceeded to blame the Clydesdale for holding the process up. Only now (8 weeks and numerous phone calls and branch visits later) is the process finally moving on. I'm still baffled as to how the system had recorded that I wanted this transfer done and which bank it was from, but didn't have the account details!!

Me too. Quick transfers to Halifax Direct Reward ISA from both P.O. and Kent Reliance. Seems like they've got their act together.

I'm looking at doing the same - if I transfer all my ISA from Barclays (5k), I presume I can still pay in 5k into Halifax (so will be able to have 10k in that account)?

Yes, you can also subscribe the current tax year's allowance of £5,340 in addition to the funds transferred from Barclays.

and grrr, i realise barclays transferred THIS YEARS isa to halifax, not last years. I could have put the wrong account number or a screw up their end.

But not worth making a fuss, will only lose £13 over the year (and must now do another transfer for the older isa!)
