Credit checks

Hi all

Quick question. I got rejected from Vodafone last week for a phone. Bit strange as I consider myself to have a perfect credit history.

Anyway, i pulled a credit report and it shows I have an account with them already. Now I did take a HTC Desire with them about a year ago but due to the amount of bugs, I returned the handset within the 7 days and settled the account.

It looks to me like the account is still active as it says on the report that they updated it on the 1st May 2011, even though the balance has been £0 for the entire duration, except for the first month which is indeed the amount I settled.

So I call Vodafone who deny I have any account with them.

My question is this. On paper, I have an account with 3 (for my daughter's mobile) and a Vodafone account on record, will it make it harder to get a 3rd account? In other words, will they think its dodgy as seemingly I already have two mobiles....

I dont think it will make it harder to get a 3rd account. My Mum had her mobile then took out another 2 for her other daughters. You could try T mobile or get another contract with 3.
