And to add to my previous message, overnight my blackberry bush has pulled the trellis down and my canes supporting my peas have snapped. My broadbeans also don't look very healthy.

not been at the lottie yet but I suspect my canes for peas will all be down. At home i took cover off my blowaway thinking that would be fine but nope. Kids play house was uplifted and tossed over garden. Winds here were 90+mph so there is alot of damage elsewhere, i cant get at my lottie because a tree has totally uprooted blockog the road, 100+ year old trees totally uprooted from ground. TBH I think i'm lucky to lose ust a few strawberry plants and for the rosemery to of been shredded

I had two tomato plants in wall baskets that were just starting to flower. As i had them staked and tied to to wall they haven`t snapped but foilage has been shredded and they are now stalks! I brought my hanging basket with a tom inside and it is currently residing in the bathroom. It is still really windy here and keeps throwing down really heavy showers of rail and hailstones. Everything else seems to be just taking a general battering, hopefully they will recover.

Wind still bad here my tomato plants that snapped seem to be doing well now that I have added a splint to the snapped stem
    I would like to be a glow-worm.

As I left for work this morning I opened the front door only to find my lovely climbing rose had snapped and was draped across the front doorway - cue OH with big secateurs to chop his way out, such a man:rotfl:Snipped off all the just-about-to-open-into-beautiful-blooms buds and put them in a vase.

Much preferable to the winds we had about eight years ago though - we used to have a 30m tall Sycamore in the front garden which ended up falling down and crashing through the newly decorated front of the house.

I never got a chance to post yesterday as I was busy trying to stop 3 large cold frames from blowing away... One did and was caught up against my shed and buddliea... The plastic and the frame was going to damage all the plants beside it so I decided to take the frame apart and put it and the bundled plastic behind aforementioned shed.... Meanwhile the trays and trays of plants were going to get blown all over the garden, so I started to take the trays and place them on the garden steps .. after I had done that, I then took them the rest of the way and put them into my conservatory... luckily, I have a big one.... I then went back down into the gales, rain etc etc and tried to rescue another one... I had bought if from argos earlier on and the frame was collapsing inside... so I managed to ducktape it (marvelous stuff that --- well, it did take them to the moon and back ---- )... get the plastic back on.... put enough bricks to build a small garage around it and prayed.... I then did the same with the third one.... It was just as well I did as I noticed that my oh hadn't waterered them properly the day before... I don't know how he misses plants but he does... and not just at the edges.... so I then went to my plastic minigreenhouses, but I had used bungie cords around my wrought iron ballistrade so they have held up.... It is still blowy and gusty the now.... so I haven't rebuilt the first one yet... I think I'll wait until tomorrow.... It's been really bad here.... I haven't checked the rest of the garden... I am hoping that with me having staked and tied all the plants last month... I am hoping that the damage will be minimal... hoping !!! :(

    Cheers
