Not too bad here for damage, though our wind has been very strong. An iris broke off and is now in a vase. A snap dragon .broke of and got tumbled and destroyed My very very tall capanula it well staked and ok, and I staked lupins and verbascums tat were taking a beating this morning. thankfully, my delphiniums are young and small. Everything else seems ''structurally'' ok. The wisteria came off the house and everything has had a blowing and of course, anything blooming is losing its flowers, but the plants themselves are ok. My dog got blown off her feet in the wind this morning and the chickens wouldn't go out. I've been restaking electric fencing that wants to take off and it looks like that will be a job all week0

My lilac tree is taking a real hammering and the honeysuckle is down but everything else is standing firm, including my 12 year old cheapie Norfolk greenhouse. Goodness knows what's going on up the allotment though. I was on the site a few years ago in high winds and someone's glass cold frame came over the hedge and missed me by a couple of feet. That was one mess to clean up later, I can tell you.Val.0

I'm wishing that next door's trees blow down as I really hate them! Here I go again on my own....0

So far, so good in northern Home Counties. Plenty of bits from neighbours tree on lawn, nothing major. I tied up the Stipa Gigantea yesterday, so it's OK despite the wind and rain.0

I've lost my new planted rhubarb stalk. To be fair I don't think it was the wind that snapped but the bucket rolling around but.. gutted!0

my plastic greenhouse/growhouses are as secured as i could make them when i put them up, and all are standing firm, though it has been very gusty.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

So far not too awful in north Surrey but 2 of the conifers in pots are having a small sleep and will be staying on their sides overnight - much safer that way. Fingers crossed we'll get away with everything else.0

Wind finally starting to calm down in West Cumbria. Had some horrendous gusts throughout the day. ALL of my french beans have been totally destroyed today, thankfully I haven't planted anything welse out yet0

well, my garden blowaway is safe (we were kindly given some huge sandstones and bricks so have about a dozen holding it down, not to mention all 4 guy ropes tied to fences etc.
I daren't go up the lotty (not feeling so hot so didn't bother as it rained a little anyway). Last night, the cukes were starting to unroot themselves and the runner beans keep undoing themselves.
At least the potatoes don't care. The smaller the monkey the more it looks like it would kill you at the first given opportunity.
