Seat Wave Sold Tickets Twice

I bought 5 tickets for Take That in July for me and some friends and family. 2 people have pulled out and I didn't know anyone else who wanted to go.
I am a regular gig go-er and I didn't want to charge someone excessively for them, but by the same token I didn't want to be out of pocket.

I therefore listed them so I would get just over face value to achieve the ticket price, seatwave's fee and something towards the postage (£72).
Although mine were the lowest price people were buying some more expensive ones ahead of mine, and then they were undercut by about 50p.

At the time ticket prices were falling quite quickly and some of the other dates were down to around £40. Concerned I wouldn't get my money back I reduced them again to just below the lowest £69ish.

I looked at my emails an hour later and they had sold. But then I got another email stating that they had sold again. On reviewing the emails they had sold them for both the higher and lower price.

I have been on the phone to seatwave on Friday and they said that 4 were for sale - which is completely untrue. I have the original email showing only 2 were listed. They said someone would investigate and someone would definietly be in touch on Friday.

I'm still waiting and have now been on hold with their customer service for nearly 40 mintes and still no answer.

Can anyone advise what my next steps should be if they are adament it is my fault. I only have 2 tickets to sell, I only ever listed 2 tickets. The two sales are still showing on my account. I'm worried that they are going to try and take my money for the tickets that I don't have to sell as per their ticket integrity T&C I agreed to. I also feel it is unfair on the purchasers of one of the sets as at this time they don't actually have tickets.

I would firstly email the buyer who bought tickets last telling them of the situation, so they know what's going on. Then I'd keep on Seatwave's back until you get a resolution, try and speak to the same person if you can, get their name and ask for them when you ring (if that's possible). send them a copy of the email confirming 2 tickets as well.

    Hope it all goes well
  • So i've sold tickets on Seatwave before and never had a problem so I'm sure it will work out fine. I remember once that something similar happened to me. Sometimes when they check the verification of the sale they put tickets on hold - this may have happened to you. I'd contact them through Facebook or Twitter - quick way to get a response or send an email.
