Layout problems with the annoying new "thread info" block.

Hello.
Maybe it's just me, but that annoying and pointless new block above and to the right forcing quotes to have a large chunk of whitespace is irking me.
Thought it would have been fixed by now.
EDIT: Looks like this in case it's just all my browsers (IE9, FF, Chrome)

Yes, it is messy. A bar across the top would be more logical. That's assuming anyone's interested in having the thing in the first place.0
