Bumped, would like to know the answer to Andreas question.

I'm out of compost again! This gardening larrk is expensive! I must've spent £50 - £55 quid this year on compost alone:eek:....is that normal?

We had a tonne-bag size compost delivered at only £39. Good price I think!

Beechgrove Garden trials different composts each year, but none have ever been as good as the old-skool peat based.

i bought 6 bags today. First bag looks fine..
  • Aldi's compost is the only one I've used this year (my first year of growing stuff). Plants are happy, so I'm happy :) The garden centers around here are at least twice the price. Am on bag number 5 so far, with number 6 sitting in the corner :D

This is a good idea. If I'd've known I would use so much I would've looked into this, now I know they do it of course ;)
