Speeding ticket in Switzerland - wrong info from Holiday Autos?

Morning everyone,
I received a speeding ticket in March while in Switzerland. I contacted Holiday Autos about this and they told me that both an admin charge and the ticket itself would be deducted from my credit card. They were clear that I would not have to take further action myself.
Shortly after that, I received a letter and a bill from the swiss police requesting I paid the fine within 30 days or be taken to court (note that I received this letter with only a few days of the 30 left)
I immediately contacted Holiday Autos who replied - after a week - to apologise and say that I had to pay this ticket manually.
Obviously, I don't mind paying the ticket - and have been trying all morning to get through to the Swiss police to explain what happened - but I'm very concerned about having to pay further costs (eg a higher fine, court fees, etc) because of this wrong information.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Are Holiday Autos liable if I do get charged more than the original fine?
I'd be grateful for any info.
Thanks
Lou

Wow, that's some pretty poor advice.
To the first two that replied, I don't know why you bothered.
For anyone interested in helpful information, I emailed the Swiss police and explained what happened with the car rental company. They accepted a scan of my credit card details and, despite the late payment, said the matter was settled.0
