Well i try and make sure its got all the basic info in the listing.
Size / measurments.
Colour
what its made of.
Condition.
What make it is.
Try and get as much info in the title as possible.
So an example could be.
Title: SIZE 5 M&S BLACK LEATHER PUMPS, FLAT SHOES.
Discription : Great pair of black leather pumps from M&S,
lovely soft black leather, very comfy!
only worn on a few occasions, so very good condition.
Ladies size 5 uk.
Lots more great items listed, so take a look! i will happily combine postage where possible.
Thanks for looking, good luck!
So not a massive discription, but hopefully contains all the info, would also include as many photos as possible.
DO make sure if there are any problems with the item that you discribe that, and take a photo of the problem if possible
When buying nothing is more annoying for me than a poor discription and just one photo, especially in the catagories where 12 photos are free!
Thanks for that, that's pretty similar to the type of listings I would do. I guess I just need to concentrate and 'get on with it', I find that my mind wanders and I get side tracked when listing so it takes me forever! Will try and keep focussed this weekend and see how many I can get done.Fillyfop, have you tried using the postage with paypal? If your item can fit in the post box then pay for postage via ebay and paypal, it's great, all you need is a printer and a pair of scalesxxx
Ooh, that sounds great! I must look into that.
Well, I decided to stop being lazy and figure out my ebay totals! I've made a grand total of £214.39! Most of that is from Wii and DS games (mostly impulse buys that have hardly been used).
That sends me over target at £278.09/£225. :T0 -

I'll definitely list some things and have a go, but 20 would be too many for me to be able to deal with I think. Good luck to you guys though!
You could always stagger the end time of your auctions, end some in 5 days some 7 and the rest in 10, that would break them up abit, but i totally get what your saying! i struggle with more than 20 at a time, but i struggle with the packing, wrapping and paying for postage!!
Postage, because i dont take the money out of paypal until the buyer has recieved their item, I had a very embrassing incedent once, i had to refund a buyer but had no money availible in paypal to do it, id already withdrawn it, so had to send a grovelling emailing explaining and asking them to wait for their money back
Also my PO bill can quite often be between 40 & 50 quid! :eek:Everyday im shufflin' Proud Padder ~ All Hail The Power of Pad0 -
Misskaytee can you pop me down for 20 on the ebay challenge please? I have a pile for ebay that's been taking up 1/4 of the room that OH has been urging me to sell for the last year. I need the cash. I just made 13.49 for 3 items. Two of those I didn't pay for, so all profit. 3rd item was jeans from 10 yrs ago. I checked musicmagpie for a CD I have...1.31. So not too bad. i might consider getting rid of my boxes that way. I have listed it on amazon first to see if it goes that way.July £10 a day Challenge= £0 / £3100

Not sure if this helps anybody, but I have been grabbing some of the good offers on the grabbit now boards & then selling on for profit on ebay. Only worth it if you know you can make money on top of the purchase price.July £10 a day Challenge= £0 / £3100

Read it, read it again, and read it yet again, out loud and slowly!!
After a few times, it's not as complicated as it first seems.
Then explain it to someone else! My other half wouldn't let me start doing it until I was able to explain it to him so that it made sense, so we both knew I had my head around it!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Another £10 on ebay for me!0

I'd like to become involved in this as it seems to be profitable and i'd like to make some extra money but I don't understand
as far as ebay goes how are you making profit? because say you sell a CD for £4 then out of that £4 your seller fees have to be taken and then postage so how are you all making profit?
I have quite a few things to sell on ebay but its that thats holding me backLloyds TSB Student Credit Card - £650 - 3% min payment
Orange via Moorcroft - £390 - £20 per month
Lloyds TSB Student Overdraft - £500
Total debt: £15400 -

Seller fees are a percentage of what the item actually sells for - therefore if you sell a CD at £4 ebay will take 40p from that sale thus making £3.60 profit - obviously we are not taking consideration of how much we actually paid for it 10 years ago but profit from the nothing we had before we put it on eBay - does that make sense? I've only had a few things sell for more than I bought for it originally (usually t-shirts - bought one for £8 wore it for 2 years and sold it for £16) xxx
