  • Lookingtothefuture. I have done a listing for a 99p start in turbolister. I have put in loads of blurb about my other auctions and 99p. Before i added item details or photos I gave duplicated it and made 100 copies. That way I can work through them during the month. I am aiming to do at least 300 listings in total..

If you realist directly from unsold items in ebay then even though they were turbo listed the 1st time they qualify for free listings.

I am finding that the 99p listings seem to be drawing people into some of the fixed price stuff that have on 30 day listings.

Thanks for your help Pleasedelete. I go through phases with ebay, sometimes listing quite a lot (well 20-30 items is a lot for me in one go!) and then other times I dont do anything for a while.

Today I have been and posted a few items that finished yesterday and have found out that I undercharged for the postage on one item by £1.17  I am normally very good with my postage costs and get them nearly correct so I am not too happy with myself. Thats like half an ice cream or two lollys gone from our holiday!

Last night I listed 11 items (in an hour... that's my PB!;)) and have a couple more to do tonight. Then it's the biggie on Saturday night! Just got to go up into the loft and have another sort through... we need to declutter as much as poss anyway as are hoping to move sometime soon and do not want to be paying to move stuff we no longer need or want.

Anyway its time for lunch! Hope everyone is having a producive day :)

Well I'm off the starting blocks! 2x £5 rewards + 6p found languishing in an old savings account I need to close = £10.06

My email account yielded £20 in @m*z0n gift voucher codes and my account had £2.45 gift voucher credit I'd forgotten about too. I also ordered a £5 b00ts voucher from a survey site. This amounts to £27.45 but I won't count them until I've spent them and transferred the money from my normal budget. I just need to find something for my Dad for Fathers day on @m*z0n now! :rotfl:

Soooooo once I've spent them my balance will be £10.06 +£27.45 = £37.51 or 1p over 25% on my target this month! :D No idea about raising the rest apart from ebay... I'm scared! :o

I will brave ebay this weekend,

I've only bought stuff from ebay before. Are there things I need to do with my ebay account or paypal in order to start selling? I have no clue! Also what are the paypal fees like? I managed to find the info on ebay fees but couldn't work out what paypal will charge on top! :o Thanks! :)

    Off to update my sig...

Selling stuff on eBay is pretty easy, you don't need anything special. Paypal do take a cut but it's quite small... it's explained here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-fees-outside

just think of what you think it's worth, and either do buy it now (which costs about 40p) or if you're happy to take the rough with the smooth go for auction and start at 99p... I sold Ikea blinds worth £85 for 99p OUCH should have done BIN instead of auction... but meh, space in the garage now!

  • Managed my target for the first 2 days (hoping the signature's appearing)! Although am very glad about the free ebay listing weekend - hopefully will give me a little boost!
Congrats to all the people who are doing so well!

This thread is so positive though - the enthusiasm is slightly infectious!!!

    Can't see your signature!

Well I'm not doing very well, don't think there's any hope of reaching £300 this month! Sold 4 items on ebay and after fees made a measly £6.50. One item I was really disappointed with, had 17 watchers and STILL only went for 99p. Gahhhh.

Also, won't be taking advantage of free listing weekend as I need to revise for a tax exam () which is on Monday :(

    So total so far £8.50 in vouchers + £6.50(!!!!!) ebay = £15.00
