Join me outside the Houses of Parliament where I will be singing 'Half Price Strawberry Fields Forever!' until these scumbags resolve what is clearly the biggest crisis to face consumers since rationing during WW2.0

And then on to the High Council of the Timelords.
The above should not be taken to imply I don't think the OP has a valid grievance.
English strawberries tend to have a better flavour than imports simply because they are mainly grown outside and take longer than the ones that we import so it really would be deceptive to sell imports as home grown. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I told the OP to read the label again - as they haven't reposted I will point out their error for them.
The strawberry variety is actually called "Elsanta" - it IS widely grown in the UK specifically for the supermarket trade.
If the OP can't even get the name right - what hope of them getting the Country of Origin correct ?0 -

Has anyone ever found a supermarket selling strawberries at full price???
A mystery -- and aren't retailers obliged to state when and where they actually flogged their wares at that original full price before knocking 50% off????0
