I've contacted experian to dispute the searches as duplicate records of one search.
I'd be filing a formal complaint with Halifax Card Services, to run in parallel with the Experian enquiry.

Doing so (almost certainly) guarantees a satisfactory resolution within 8 weeks, whereas how long did Experian tell you it would take (if they did, or if they even knew)?

Experian have said they will contact me in 10 working days but that might just be to tell me that they are dealing with it on my behalf!

I will ring Halifax CC, complain about the multiple searches and see if I can pursuade them to put my APR down to 12.9%, worth a try!

You won't get the APR reduced...that's done on risk-based pricing and the risk hasn't improved since application.

However, I'm sure you've incurred some costs? Phone calls perhaps? How much did your credit reports cost? How much time have you spent/will you spend dealing with it (at £10 per hour)? ;)

oh, thanks YorkshireBoy, I didnt think of trying to claim my credit report cost (£2) and say a few quid for my hassle. May be able to get a credit on my card, say £20!

I had this with Aqua who searched my file 6 times for one application - I complained to Halifax Card Services and got £50 compensation - so its worth a try!
