Natwest Emergency Money

Just saw an advert on the TV.

Seems like NatWest have a new emergency money facility for bank account customers.
If you loose your card or forget it they can automatically give you a code in which you can withdraw funds from a cash machine without a card.

Good idea and would help in situations when you loose your card and just need some cash to tied you over, especially if its a weekend or evening and the branch is not open.

In my 10 years of using Natwest I have never seen the emergency cash facility button or option on their cash machine.

    Prob not paying much attention.

You dont see in the options on the ATM. If you press a button on the ATM it will ask you if you want to make an emergency transaction.

    They've had it for ages.

I think it's a really good idea. Do they charge for it?

If I remember correctly to Advantage Gold customers its free otherwise its £5.00 per transaction.

You can access upto £300.00 if your a online or telephone banking customer otherwise you can access upto £60.00 providing you have the funds available and you need to have atleast £25.00 in your account to use the service.

Press 'enter' on an RBS or Natwest ATM and it will prompt you.

I've been fruitlessly guessing a five digit code on our in branch machine for years!
