Charges for buying currency online

Hello All,

I am new to this website and I am trying to take in as much info as possible regarding travel currency and the best way to buy it.

I have a question that I cannot get to the bottom of, or at least find.

Do lloyds TSB debit cards charge you for buying currency online from say travelex or some other company?

or it is treated as any other regular purchase?

It isn't a purchase like buying a book from Amazon.

Yes - from any source other than their own foreign currency service.
