confused by Orange offer

My 18 month contract with Orange is up in June. I'm happy to keep my iphone 3gs (is this wise?). I'm a low user. They offered me 200 mins, unlimited texts and data for £10 a month. This would be enough for me. But they seemed much keener for me to take the Samsung Galaxy with 400 mins, unlimited texts and data for only £7.50 a month for 24 months.
It seems a no brainer but I told the rep I would prefer to keep my iphone. She said I could simply put the new sim in the iphone and continue with it for the £7.50 a month and do whatever I wanted with the Galaxy. Does this sound feasible?
Would the Galaxy sim fit the iphone?
Is it staight forward to tranfer contacts onto the new sim?
Is this offer too good to be true?
I'm confused!

Check how "unlimited" that offer of unlimited data is on each contract offer - Orange keep describing it as unlimited, but on closed inspection it's normally capped at 500mb.
Would also be worth doing some research to see how much it would be with other networks. Also - do you wnat to be tied in to one particular deal for 24 months, or would you prefer to go onto a 30-day rolling sim deal - there is a lot of talk from iPhone users about wanting to wait for the new iPhone 5 when it appears rather than signing up to something now.Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world!

I find that on Orange's plans, they list 500MB deals are listed as such. I think Orange's "unlimited deals" are subject to a 1GB fair-use policy.0
