Mine haven't gone through today either. I was starting to panic that my payments had been stopped, as the same thing happened around this time last year and when I contacted the tax credits people they said it was because they had sent me a letter which I did not reply to (a letter I never received!)

  • I just checked my bank balance and was shocked to see that mine hadn't gone in either!! They usually go in at 12pm every sunday. I tried to phone the HMRC helpline but they weren't open (they used to be open on a sunday until 8pm). I then phoned my bank (Lloyds TSB) and before I got chance to speak to an advisor, I listened to an automated message informing me that credits that were processed on a sunday afternoon are now being changed to midnight on a sunday. Bummer lol!! I got used to being paid on a sunday lol

Just to remind everyone that your TCs are due on a MONDAY.

They may have historically paid on a sunday, but they are not late if they pay it on sunday midnight.

    I know that.

Given the amount of panic, phoning banks, poor meal preparation, relying on sunday payments etc, thought I would mention it.

Shocking isnt it, not enough food in to feed the family for the duration that tax credits are supposed to cover.
