Ryanair - web error means two bags added to booking

Does anyone have any experience getting a refund from Ryanair?

I've not used them before, and the website froze when making our booking. I checked for email confirmation, as instructed by Ryanair, and there wasn't one, so I placed another booking successfully.

However when the confirmation came through, I have been charged 40 quid x 2 - for a bag per person, rather than the single bag for both. :(

I've been on the phone to the reservation team, who said there is a policy of no refunds even if there is an issue with the website? :mad:How can this be correct?

All advice gratefully recieved.

Thanks

I'm not sure that would be a website error - if your first booking didn't go through and you re-entered everything and ended up with a booking with a bag per person - it sounds more like that's what your second booking detail requested, though it may not have been what you intended to do?
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I agree with ferf1223, a duplicate booking would be two flights (and hence two bags). If the two bags are showing on the same confirmation, I can't see that could be a system error.

I'm usually pretty careful, just I bit surprised I can't revise the booking/or get any any sort of refund. Guess will be more wary in future if I can't get any joy from Ryanair customer services.

Ryanair CS is not great, but they will refund if the error is on their part. I just can't see that this is the case here.
