Anyone else having issues with Avast?
For me it caused a blue screen, and the updater is saying that 'the package is broken'. Nothing else seems wrong. Some are struggling to boot Windows, or access control panel etc, if their problems are even related.
I've given Avast a go for the last 4 months, and in that time there's been multiple bad updates causing significant false positives on websites. Now this... whatever it is.
Losing faith in this product definitely.
Over ten years of Avira Antivir free without issue other than the occasional FP, but Avast has been a big headache.

Hi
I've been using Avast for over a year now, ever since I got my new HP laptop.
I have Windows 7 and have not had any problems with Avast updates. My son is an IT manager and he recommended Avast and uses it himself.0 -
Nothing amiss here, touch wood!
It updated and ran a full scheduled scan this morning with no issues.
I'll be keeping an interested eye on what you find.
Hope you get it sorted without too much hassle.0 -
I had the same BSOD a couple of weeks ago. After googling, and Avast forums etc the only solution seems to be the old fashioned uninstall and reinstall Avast. I suspect it's related to a corrupted update, but it's easier to reinstall than hack it out.0

They've been getting better at reversing the bad updates:

I still think that basic quality control should find the issues before they're released.0 -

Think I might just uninstall it for now, and go back to Avira. I shouldn't have 'fixed what wasn't broken', and should have just stuck with Avira in the first place.
Did a system restore; as event viewer was doing the "you must close all dialog before you can exit" trick, which I've only seen on other people's systems before.0 -

no issues reported here eitherDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
