    I have done a bit of searching this evening, and come up with the following :-

    London (LHR) - New York (JFK) on Virgin -13th jan

    New York (EWR) - Miami (MIA) on AA - 17th Jan

    Miami (MIA) - London (LHR) on Virgin - 27th Jan

    Cost = £386

    And........

    London (LHR) - New York (JFK) on BA - 13th Jan

    New York (EWR) - Tampa (TPA) on Continental - 17th Jan

    Tampa (TPA) - London (LGW) on BA - 27th Jan

    Out LHR, Back LGW might be a pain ?

    Cost = £408

    These were on expedia.

    What do you think ?

    Are there cheaper ways around that doesn't involve loads of extra flights ?

    TIA
  • Why not suggest that your friend does a cruise to the Caribbean out of New York with NCL or Holland America, they are usually for 10 days.

    I did exactly that last year, and it was superb too :)

    I will ask him if he fancies that.

    He is a 40 years old and newly single, would a cruise suit him ?

    I keep imagining its grab a granny on them ! (No offence to any grannies out there !)
  • The NCL cruise would be great for a 40 year old as it is "freestyle" no formality and a much younger age group with lots for singles to do! Holland America is a much older crowd with a lot of formality. Tell your friend to have a look on NCL's website, also https://www.cruisecritic.com for reviews.

    NCL have the full range of age groups, last year an 11 day cruise cost £900 each but free food and entertainment.
