O2 cancellation - email?

I requested a cancellation for my O2 contract on the 20th. The chap did the obvious and tried to get me to stay but I really wasn't interested. Anyway, he said I would receive an email with a form to fill in and then I would receive my PAC code.

I haven't received anything yet and just wondered how long this process takes?

I'm not sure what he's referring to. Call retentions and ask for a PAC, you'll get it instantly over the phone.

Don't know about any form to fill - probably telling you porkies.
Phone them and ask for a PAC code forcibly. They will send it via a text message.

    Thank you.

He just went on and on about my usage and what would be best for me. It didn't matter what I said he just kept going on

I doubt I'll ever go back to a contract thanks to him!

You can chat to an O2 rep online - go to O2 web site, click on Contact Us. Then select Pay Monthly (assuming you are on pay monthly) and somewhere along the line you will get a pop up window and you can chat to a real person and ask for pac code.

Or use the email form here

  • Be very careful, I had a nightmare, I had two contracts with o2, phoned for two packs, one for me and one for hubby, hubby ended up not using pac, I cancelled DD with them thinking all ok and then about a year later after moving house had a letter from debt management company saying I owed over £180 pounds, for one of the phones as not used the PAC it wasnt cancelled!! Just a word of warning to you....

It's standard practice that if you don't use your PAC your contract will not end. This does get advised when you request your PAC..

I phoned up in the end and spoke to a lovely chap call Geoff who gave me my PAC code instantly and didn't ask any silly questions - credit to him.

Thank you for all your help/info.
