Can you have 2 ebay accounts

I have two ebay accounts - a personal and a business. They are linked to the same Paypal account.

Your account is not suspended or restricted - its just that free listing days are not available to below standard accounts (below standard being below 98% approval - which is still 10% above ebays own approval rating).

You can have as many Ebay accounts as you want and will just need a different email address. They can be linked to the same paypal account. I think there is a limit to the number of email addresses that can be added to paypal account (was about 8 last time i checked).

Bidding against your own accounts is a crime - although ebay failed to take action last time i reported an obvious shill bidder. Why would they - its making them money.

If one Ebay account is suspended or closed by Ebay - you are not allowed to use the other accounts.

You are allowed ONE personal paypal account and ONE business or premier account (you cannot hold a premier AND business account). So thats TWO paypal accounts in total.

No problem. I emailed Ebay a couple of years ago on this issue and they said open as many as you want. Their site confirmed this.

As Ebay is constantly changing the rules, i looked again this morning - to see what their site says now. It does still say you can have 2 accounts, but no longer states there is no limit. Nore does it say you cannot have more than two - but its a bit more ambiguous than it used to be.

But as stated before - your fine opening a second. It also states you MAY be stopped from using a second account if you get suspended from the other - but nothing to stop you using it until notified different - should this happen in the future.
