With regards to o2's relatively new bolt on's, if I applied 'The Works' with it's 1gb a month data allowance, would I still need to top up £10 a month for the text and web tariff which I would no longer want and when would the bolt on be available to use? I am running out of data allowance this month, but as o pay a month in advance so I don't forget to top up to get the next months allowance, I'm confusing myself.

Thanks

No once your bolt on runs out change the bolt on to the works and then top up then your works bolt on will begin on that day for a month.

    That easy?

So I just carry on until this set of data has been used and then text works to '21300' and it will replace text and web rather than charge my phone for both? So every month as long as £10 is on the phone it will take the £10 and i'll get 1gb data allowance

Hope i've understood that correct as it's better than what my text and web was at 500mb + free texts which I don't use all of so wouldn't be upset at losing them.

Text and Web is a tariff. The Works is a bolt-on you add to your tariff. You can happily have both.

By the way, Text and Web doesn't cost £10 a month. If you top up then you get a free allowance and keep your credit. If you don't top up, all that happens is that you don't get your allowance.

    Understood, thanks.

About to tick over into the bolt on so with any luck that will go over with no issues and with £60 on the phone, The Works can take money for a few months with no need to top up. Happy days!
