agreed/ latest version is an improvement / but it's all relative to.... they have never fully resolved this ... they never will :thumbs down: //

There is at least one guy working on it. http://blog.mozilla.com/nnethercote/2011/05/06/another-leak-fixed-part-2/
How successful he is remains to be seen.
I wish him well. The long term success and improvement of Firefox will benefit us all, even if indirectly, by keeping healthy competition between browsers alive.

^agreed about that! but they have had ample time now to resolve the issue(s)....a healthy user base can very quickly turn into an unhealthy one ..

A quote from that link says "It’s worrying that such a bad leak was able to get into Firefox 4.0 and remain undetected for this long."
It does make me wonder what they were doing while FF4 was in Beta. It's not as if it was a short process.
With the greatest of respect to your favourite browser, a market share similar to Opera's is possible for Firefox.

Agree with comments about resource usage about Firefox, it wasn't so long ago that Firefox was taking up a quarter of the resources.

Still my main browser, and Opera second. Only need IE for pages that have IE only code that breaks on all other browsers, such as some applets in MOLE.

I was just looking at the Santander website to see if they had a report on the bombing of their branch in Derry, but got a message about browser incompatibility... FF 4.0.1 Ubuntu.. Whatever!

EDIT: Santander seems to block anything but IE7 and IE8 and FF3.5..

No wonder people resort to blowing up their branches. Just another battle in the browser wars.

Funny, it opened fine in my favourite browser (Opera) when I checked my account earlier.

Otherwise I use FF for it's plugins or if all else fails, IE. I don't like Chrome at all.

Opera seems to be the real "Marmite" browser - you either love it or hate it!

Have added Firefox 7 to the list, it install as a separate browser to Firefox but automatically imports any bookmarks, only runs ad block and no script so far

Following comments on here and other threads, I've given Opera a try (I used to use Firefox).

In many ways I prefer it to Firefox but there is one particular aspect that I don't like:

    - In Firefox when you highlight a word(s) and right click you can search for that word and it will open a new tab with the search results. In Opera you can do the same (only better because of the search options) but it shows the results in the same tab.

How do I get the search results in a new tab in Opera?
