Head and Shoulders is definitely another bad one. I did start to train to be a hairdresser once and was told that it;s that harsh for your hair it could be used to perm it because of how strong it is!Saved: £1566.53/ £20000

I used pantene volumising because my hair has thinned and Im paranoid and it did make it bouncier to begin with but then it started getting really greasy everyday.
I use aussie volumising now which is nice, and leaves my hair soft and not flat, might try the l'oreal elvive one reccomended though.
My hairdresser told me to use head & shoulders when I dyed my hair dark brown but it went more black, she said it makes it fade faster.....it did.0 -
Yes, it's true about Pantene and silicon - it makes it shiny and manageable in the short term but it doesn't allow your hair to breathe so can damage in the long term.
Apparently if you've been using it, a couple of washes with washing up liquid helps to remove the build-up, but it's an unpleasant process. Seemingly the silicon is rather persistent. Follow with plenty of conditioner!0 -
Yep my hairdresser said its bad for your hair too as is Tresemme....I only use salon brands now like Tigi and I find that when I do use these cheaper brands after abit my hair feels dull and faded..my hairs highlighted and im sure they strip the colour!!0
