Asus laptop - can't burn recovery discs

Hi - hope you can help.
I am not a techie at all and have just bought an Asus K52f.
I have tried to make the receovery dvd's for the laptop and can't get past disc 2. It burns but won't complete when being checked.
It's happened 4 times at varying times in the process (from 34-70%)
Disc 1 has worked with no trouble. I've tried a diiferent brand of discs but still have the same problem.
Any ideas??

The discs are DVD +R, it says that either can be used though and one disc worked fine so don't knwo if it could be the discs??:o

perhaps but i think u said u tried an alternative batch ? can u try a different burning program :
